VIDEO: A EUR 12,000 pair of sports shoes stolen from a shop in Budapest
The very young Balázs Pachert’s sports shoe emporium, Balázs Kicks, had its most expensive shoe, worth HUF 4.5 million (EUR 11,936.48), stolen from its shop over the weekend.
The thief stole a Nike Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 Low Virgil Abloh brand sneaker, which was caught on security cameras, Startlap said.
The owner himself reported the incident on his Instagram page on Saturday:
– Hello! Yesterday, our most expensive shoes worth HUF 4,5 million (EUR 11,936.48) were stolen. EUR 800 (HUF 300,000) for the tracing fee – reads the post.
The video shared shows that the precious piece was stolen from a display case, which was left open because someone had tried on a shoe there.
Police were called to the scene the same day and fingerprints and DNA samples were taken, so they are hoping for the best.
